This year, the Mexican Federation of Economists (FCERM), through registry F-424 at the National Career Direction, has successfully established the process through which specialists in the field of Transfer Pricing are certified as experts on the subject.
The objective of the creation of this certification process consists on guaranteeing the multinational groups and Mexican companies that abide to this law, the technical expertise of the professionals specialized on the subject providing them with a greater level of assurance.
The certification process as expert is ruled by the criteria of the National Assessment Center for Higher Education, A.C. (CENEVAL) and established by the National Institute for the Evaluation of the Education (INNEE), assessment entities of high prestige in Mexico. To be selected for the evaluation process, an experience of at least ten (10) years of continuous practice in the subject must be proven, including a minimum of five (5) years at a senior manager or partner position.
The FCERM has already started interinstitutional communication with the Federal Judiciary, the PRODECON, and the tax authorities to display the list of experts who have approved the certification process.
